About Career Guidance,
Training and Placement:

The Training Placement Department is the one which initiates and conducts various placement related activities like training, placement drives etc. It has a central placement team with staff representatives from every technical department overseeing its activities. The student coordinators nominated act as an interface between the student group and staff placement coordinators.

Objectives

  • To create awareness amongst students regarding available career options thereby help them in identifying their career objectives.
  • To maintain regular interaction with industry through lectures, internships, conferences etc.
  • To maintain good relations with the corporate houses.
  • To organize training to students on various aspects contributing to employment.
  • To plan & organize successful Placement drives in campus.

Role & Responsibilities

Coordinator: Looks into engaging the best suited training service provider, approaching corporate houses for recruitment and maintaining a cordial relationship with the members of the pool placement team members. Also looks at corporate interfacing through continued interaction with corporates. Overseeing conduction of placement drives.

Staff members: Interface between students and Central placement committee towards disseminating of information, collection of student data and effective conduction of placement drives. Also smooth conduction of various training programs organized at the campus. Data maintaining regarding placement drives, results and other statistics.

Student members: The student members assist staff coordinators in passing relevant information to fellow students about the placement drives and act as volunteers in smooth conduction of a placement drive.

Institute placement policy/ regulations:

Final year students are eligible for “campus recruitments” provided he/she meets the requirements specified by the Corporate or the Training & Placement Department.

  • A student is allowed to have one job offer. There are certain exceptions to this rule. Students having an offer letter from a software services company can compete for an offer from another core company (ME / CV/ EC). A “ dream offer” luxury for software development jobs is provided subject to the following condition.
  • Students who are placed in a company, having a package below 3.5 Lakhs per annum will be permitted to participate in placement drives only for those companies that are providing an annual package of 7.0 Lakhs per annum and above.
  • Students who are placed in a company, having a package between 3.5 Lakhs and 5.0 Lakhs per annum will be permitted to participate in placement drives only for those companies that are providing an annual package of 8 Lakhs per annum and above.
  • A Student who bags an offer for a tech support or marketing role would be allowed to pursue a technical offer in the subsequent opportunities.
  • Off Campus offers generated through the placement department will be considered as campus recruits.

  • Students must be formally dressed whenever they participate in any sort of interaction with a company. The placement committee reserves the right to refuse permission to a student to attend the selection process, if their attire is unsatisfactory. The dress code shall be applicable for Pre placement talks as well.
  • Boys-Formal dark pant with light coloured full sleeve shirt and formal shoes.
  • Girls-Formal dark pant with light coloured shirt and formal shoes.

  • Direct communication of students with the company officials is prohibited.
  • Attendance of shortlisted / eligible students for the placement drive is mandatory.

  • Students may be blacklisted from the placement if he/she is found involved in any act of indiscipline.
  • Students giving wrong information to the placement department will be blacklisted from the placement activities.
  • A disciplinary action will be taken against the shortlisted students who opt out of the subsequent selection process.
  • Serious action will be taken on students who have been reported with misconduct by the stakeholders.

  • Placement is a privilege extended to the students but can’t be claimed as a matter of right.
  • These guidelines are framed to ensure equality and fairness of opportunity to all the students. Breaking of formulated rules will lead to sever disciplinary action.
  • T & P Dept. reserves all right to modify any or all of the above norms and/or stipulate additional norms for placements which, in its judgment and discretion are likely to benefit the students.

  • Fully equipped AC Seminar Halls for Pre Placement talk.
  • Airport shuttle service and hospitality services for the corporate guests at our 3 star Hotel Moti Mahal.
  • Provision to conduct written test for 800 candidates simultaneously.
  • Air Conditioned Personal Interview cabins and Group Discussion rooms.
