B.E. in Computer Science & Engineering (IoT and Cyber Security including Blockchain Technology)

A J Institute of Engineering and Technology, a unit of Laxmi Memorial Education Trust, Mangalore, initiated an undergraduate engineering program in Computer Science & Engineering (Internet of Things and Cybersecurity including Blockchain Technology), during the academic year 2023-24 with the sanctioned intake of 60. This program aims to develop students with the functional, operational, design, implementation and application aspects of, IoT and Cyber Security including Blockchain technology. The department has highly qualified, experienced and dedicated teaching and supporting staffs. Additionally, it features fully equipped laboratories furnished with state-of-the-art of infrastructure and sophisticated equipment.

The Internet of Things (IoT) interconnects computing devices for data transfer, promising increased comfort and automation. High security, privacy, and authentication are essential for implementing IoT applications, ensuring protection from potential attacks. Cybersecurity, a specialized field in IT, aims to equip students with skills to defend computer systems from cyber-attacks.   1. Engineering knowledge : Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.
  2. Problem Analysis : Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyse complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural science and engineering sciences.
  3. Design/development of solutions : Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal and environmental considerations.
