A J Institute of Engineering and Technology, a unit of Laxmi Memorial Education Trust, Mangalore, initiated an undergraduate engineering program in Computer Science & Engineering (Internet of Things and Cybersecurity with Blockchain Technology), during the academic year 2023-24 with the sanctioned intake of 60. This program aims to develop students with the functional, operational, design, implementation and application aspects of, IoT & Cyber Security with Blockchain technology.

The department has highly qualified, experienced and dedicated teaching and supporting staffs. Additionally, it features fully equipped laboratories furnished with state-of-the-art of infrastructure and sophisticated equipment.

The Internet of Things (IoT) interconnects computing devices for data transfer, promising increased comfort and automation. High security, privacy, and authentication are essential for implementing IoT applications, ensuring protection from potential attacks.

Cybersecurity, a specialized field in IT, aims to equip students with skills to defend computer systems from cyber-attacks. With rising cybercrimes, industries relying on online transactions seek cyber security professionals globally.
