Literary & Cultural Committee

The cultural & Event Organizing Committee at AJ Institute of Engineering & Technology aims to provide a platform to the students to bring about their inventiveness to the forefront and use their most perceptive side talents to organize various events in the college. The Committee’s activities are also aimed to orient the students towards standards of equality, justice and a humanist culture. Various activities are intended to sensitize the academic world to other dimensions of experience and knowledge.

The main responsibility of this committee is to ensure smooth conduct of College level events and various extracurricular activities related to cultural, literary and fine arts, including selecting and encouraging AJIET team to participate in various Inter college fests. It requires a lot of effort and planning to organize events on this scale, for which we are glad that AJIET has a strong and dedicational team with multitude of skills.

Literary & Cultural Committee

Objectives

To promote and arrange extracurricular activities to bring out the talents of students in performing arts.
To develop and encourage literary skills and to broaden the intellectual horizons, by promoting thoughtful reading, writing, discussion and brain storming sessions amongst the students.

Functionality and working:

The Cultural Committee shall be responsible for all intra and inter collegiate cultural events in the College,
To plan and schedule cultural events for the academic year.
Formation of various clubs related to cultural and literary activities such as Fine arts club, literary club, cultural club and photographic club.
To display on the Notice Board/Website information about the festivals/events to be celebrated.

Working Procedure to organize cultural / Literary events:

Preparing the Annual Budget for various cultural events.
To obtain formal permission from the College authorities to arrange program.
To decide the date, time and agenda of the program.
To inform members of staff and students about the events and also to encourage them to participate.
Make sure that the venue and logistics (audio/video system, dais, podium etc),mementos for guests and gifts/certificates for the participants is planned well in advance in coordination with the Programme organizing committee.
Finally to submit the detailed report of all the events conducted by the committee to the college.
